The blue tick (Verified badge)
The blue tick is a personal badge shown next to your name everywhere it appears across Snikus — on posts, comments, messages, and your own profile header. It's a paid, subscription-based badge that activates immediately once you subscribe, with no manual review or waiting period.
Getting it
- Open Account Settings, then find the Verified badge page.
- Choose a plan and complete checkout.
- The badge appears on your profile the moment payment is confirmed.
Checkout for the Verified badge happens through Snikus's dedicated store subdomain rather than the main site — you'll be sent there automatically and back once it's done, already signed in, with nothing extra to set up on your end.
What it actually gets you
- The blue tick shown wherever your name appears, a visible trust signal to other founders and investors.
- A 5% boost applied to your startup's entire ranking score (see "How rankings work" in Rankings & Seasons) — on top of everything earned organically, not instead of it.
Managing or canceling
From the same Verified badge page in Account Settings, you can view your current subscription status and file a cancel or refund request. These requests are reviewed by a real person rather than processed instantly — expect a short wait rather than an immediate confirmation once you submit one.
Not the same as the startup shield
It's easy to mix these two up since both render as a small badge icon, but they're unrelated:
- The blue tick is personal, paid, tied to your own profile.
- The Verified Startup shield (see "The Verified Startup badge" under Startups) is free, tied to proving your startup's website ownership.
You can have either, both, or neither — one has no bearing on the other.
Frequently asked
Does the badge disappear immediately if I cancel?
It stays active through the remainder of your current billing period, then doesn't renew — same as most subscription products.
Can I get a refund after the badge has been active a while?
File a refund request from the Verified badge page; a person reviews each one individually, so outcomes depend on the specific circumstances.
