The Hall of Founders, explained

The Hall of Founders is Snikus's permanent record of every Season's top performer. When a Season ends, its single best-performing startup is crowned that Season's Champion, and that name is written into the Hall of Founders forever — it's never overwritten by a later Season, and it's never removed just because time has passed.

Season Champions vs. Month Winners

Once a Season is long enough to contain at least one full calendar month of competition (this starts at Season 4, the first 2-month Season), each individual month inside that Season also crowns its own top 10 — a smaller, monthly leaderboard nested inside the larger Season race. Shorter early Seasons (1 and 2, and Season 3's single month) skip this extra layer, since a Season that's only a week or a month long would just be crowning the exact same thing twice.

How a Season Champion is actually chosen

This is the part that surprises people: it's wins, not raw points. A Season Champion is whichever startup won the most individual months within that Season — not whichever startup accumulated the highest total score across the whole period. Ties are broken by that startup's single best individual month.

This "wins, not points" rule is deliberate. If Champions were decided by total accumulated points, one enormous month early in a Season could effectively lock in the win with nothing left to prove for the rest of it. Requiring the most wins instead means staying Champion-worthy takes showing up and performing well again and again, month after month — not just one lucky spike.

What a Hall of Founders entry looks like

Every startup card in the Hall of Founders is clickable, opening a dedicated page with the startup's official logo, founder details, its ranking stats for that period, and a unique description written by Snikus itself — the wording varies depending on whether the entry is a Season Champion or a Month Winner, and by rank within the top 10.

Why this matters if you're new

Because Season lengths start short and only grow gradually (see "What are Seasons"), the Hall of Founders isn't some far-off, unreachable list dominated by the platform's earliest users — it fills up fast, and a startup created in Snikus's first month has genuinely competed in, and could have won, several early Seasons already.

Frequently asked

Can a startup appear in the Hall of Founders more than once?

Yes — nothing stops the same startup from winning multiple Seasons or Month spots over time, and every one of those wins is recorded separately, not merged into one entry.

Where do I see it?

Linked directly from the Rankings page, and from any startup page that has ever earned an entry.
