Two-factor login

Turn it on from Settings and Snikus emails you a 6-digit code at login, on top of your password. There's no authenticator-app option — it's email-code based only.

Changing your email

Needs your current password, plus a verification code sent to the new address before the change actually takes effect.

Changing your password or username

Password changes need your current password and a new one of at least 8 characters. Your username can be changed any time with no cooldown, as long as it's not already taken.

Notification & preference toggles

Choose which categories notify you — threads, launches, organization updates, platform announcements — from Settings. Dark mode, opening links inside the app, and whether your profile shows up in search live in Preferences. Your online-status dot and typing indicator are controlled per-conversation from inside Messenger itself, not from a global settings page.
